We designed our own office

We've always been tech people. Working out of an IT kind of office made sense. But over the last few years, a few things have changed.

Building products is now more hands-on. Our love for storytelling makes us want to try more with photography. There's more standing than sitting. We needed a new space. And we had to design it ourselves.

How we saw it

Studio-first Approach

We love how clean a cyclorama looks. That was first on our list. While it’s simple to look at, it was tricky to build. There was the science of light bouncing in a white cube, the corner radius and the shade of white to consider.

Open Work Area

We’re still a small team. Everyone works together on the task at hand. So large community tables seemed right. We designed two - a raw wood table for work and a solid concrete block to huddle around.

Functional Storage

In eight years we’ve collected a lot - cool things from travels, prototypes, packaging and design inspiration. They needed a home. So we built numbered bins and shelves that reach the ceiling.

Minimalist Design

We applied what we learned from designing our products and website. Minimal materials and colours. Fewer divisions wherever possible. Even the floor, wall and ceiling had to feel uniform.

Clean Air

High CO2 levels in a small office can cause headaches and fatigue. We went down a rabbit hole to learn how to circulate fresh air from outside, filter it and exhaust it out when it’s stale.

Little Details

We added a few things to make it more functional and fun. A changing room for fit trials, a coffee vending machine with a snack area, a utility pantry and a small message outside for curious passersby.

Our new workplace

Thanks Rashmi and team Salmon Pink, Yash Chetwani, Mr Rajpal and Kailashji for bringing it all together 😊
